Card terms

How your NyZen virtual card works. These terms add to the Terms of Service.

Last updated 25 September 2026

01Your card

  • A NyZen card is a prepaid virtual Visa or Mastercard, issued through our card partner, ZiiroPay. You can spend only what you have put on it.
  • You need a verified identity to order one. The card is for you alone.
  • Ordering costs $10 once, and the first $5 you put on it stays on it as your money. See the fees.

02Using it

  • Top it up from your USD balance and withdraw back to it at any time, free.
  • You can freeze it, switch online payments off, and set daily and monthly caps in the app.
  • A payment the card cannot cover is declined; the app tells you why when the card network says.
Caps are a warning

Your spending caps send you an alert when you pass them. The card network cannot hold a payment at NyZen’s caps, so freeze the card if you need payments to stop.

03Keeping it safe

  • Never share the card number, expiry date or security code except to pay a merchant you trust.
  • Freeze the card in the app straight away if you think someone else has its details.

04A payment you don’t recognise

Freeze the card, then tell us within 13 months at support@nyzen.one or through Help in the app. We will raise it with the card network and refund you where the rules allow.

05Cancelling

You can cancel the card in the app at any time; move its money back to your balance first. We may cancel or suspend a card if the law requires it or we suspect fraud, and we tell you unless the law forbids it.
